Objective:
Design and build a product using bent wood and welding.
Product of interest:
Side table
Design Goal:
Design and build a side table that has more room for storage and is easy to move.
Building:
I used a kerfing method to bend the wood and used a combination of solid and perforated metal for the shelf insert.
Final Product:
Mesa is a table that can fit into any space. Its design is light in both form and color with a smooth birch surface and white metal shelf insert. The white bolts give it a clean industrial look and the kerfing creates a smooth round edge. Mesa is perfect for small storage and is easy to move from room to room whenever it’s needed.
