Issue:
The Houston Furniture Bank is a non-profit organization that has been in the Houston area for over 26 years, but it is often overshadowed by other non-profits in the area.
We asked several friends and family and found that no one had ever heard of Houston Furniture Bank and some even mistook it for Houston “Food” Bank.
In order to stop the confusion and bring in more resources, we believed that the best way to accomplish HFB’s goal would be to spread awareness.
Design Goal:
Improve HFB's outreach to spread awareness of their organization and their mission of "making empty houses homes" to people across the greater Houston area.
By doing this, the Houston Furniture Bank can bring in more volunteers and meaningful donations.
By doing this, the Houston Furniture Bank can bring in more volunteers and meaningful donations.
After exploring several advertising strategies, we settled on a set of posters with QR codes for quick access to HFB's website.
Poster Designs:
My job was to create visuals that would be printed on different mediums such as posters, flyers, and cards. Using Adobe Illustrator and InDesign, I created six different designs with HFB slogans.
Final Posters:
With the help of these eye-catching posters, the Houston Furniture Bank can spread awareness of their cause and bring in more volunteers and meaningful donations.
By placing these posters around the city, more people can learn of the organization and gain quick access to their resources through the QR code.
